There is no soul or care in the Health Net System. It is cumbersome, and the preventative is not in the care, it’s in the access.

I have the best insurance through my company and have a 80/20 structure after paying my $500 deductible. Apparently, this is not the case because many of the labs done my doctor are not covered so don’t count towards my deductible which means I have to pay all the fees in the tune of $900. I have the money to pay but I’m sure most people don’t and this disgusts me. The interesting thing is that the employer dictates what will and will not be paid for making the insurance company strictly the enforcer. So next time you say that you hate insurance companies you should really be upset with your employer because are the culprits.

In 2004 my Mother became ill and needed to go to the hospital. She was having liver failure from years of excessive drinking and she was 54 at the time. She was in the hospital 9 days before she died and Health Net covered every penny of her $164,000.000 hospital bill. I’ll always be grateful to them for covering her expenses, as our family would have been in financial turmoil if they hadn’t.

co pays suck and they keep going up. when i was young my family was really poor, we were on welfare. but i remember going to the doctor and taking care of everything in one visit. now they (doctors) wants you to come back 3 or 4 times just to solve one little problem. i dont even go to the doctor because i cant afford the co-pays.

I am with health net. They have denied so many claims sent to them . and I have had to fight with them to pay. everytime I get any type of medical services I end up in a battle with health net. I was really sick and didn’t even know they had accendently dropped me from them. well I ended up in the ER only to get a 10,000 bill. same with my doc I ended up with huge bills from him. they have yet to pay. and they tried to say that I called them and told them I didn’t want my health care coverage. I never called them and told them to cancel my insurance. then they told me I was a liablity so they would not provide me with coverage. total crap. so I went to my employer and told them what was going on needless to say they gave me my insurance back and back dated it . but they still have not payed the bills. becouse I didn’t have prior authorization. Ok how do you get prior authorization if your if you can’t even use a phone.
another issue is my son is special needs. and they dropped him becouse of it. they said he was a liability. so now my son has state insurance and they stink too. why should I have to put my kids on state coverage when I pay my insurance dues for my family. yet they pick and choose who they cover? whats the point of having insurance?
